REJUVENATING
PDO THREADS

FREE CONSULTATION

Tighten, lift and smooth tired sagging facial features!

Rejuvenating PDO Threads are the newest, most exciting skin tightening treatment to hit our shores in years. Kept secret in Korea for what seems like an eternity, this whole new approach to skin tightening is perfect for those wanting a minimally invasive natural result.

This non-invasive and non-surgical skin rejuvenation procedure provides a subtle lifting and tightening effect to the skin achieved by the injection of a special bio-absorbable and anti-microbial thread called polydioxanone (PDO), which has properties that stimulate the synthesis of collagen and elastin. This procedure is administered via the injection of very fine needles into the determined treatment area(s) of the face or body. The needles contain the PDO filament, or thread. When the needles are placed in the skin and later retrieved, the PDO thread is left in the skin to:

Stimulate collagen production   |   Smooth fine lines & wrinkles   |   Soften creases and deep folds   |   Fill in recessed scars     Contour facial features (chin, jawline)   |   Lift forehead or eyebrows   |   Lift & enhance cheeks     Upper lip definition    |   Enhance area(s) of Stretch Mark   |   Rejuvenate hands     Rejuvenate neck   |   Restore hair growth

        • Natural results: Natural yet noticeable results can be achieved with the PDO thread procedures.
        • Non-Surgical: The procedure doesn’t involve any cutting and incisions.
        • Minimal downtime: PDO thread is a non-surgical procedure with minimal downtime.
        • Cost-effective: Thread lift is a very cost-effective way to achieve a more youthful appearance compared to other aesthetic procedures.
        • Safety: PDO threads are FDA approved and have a decade long safety track record in surgery and wound closure.

PDO threads are made of a fine synthetic material called Polydioxanone (PDO) with a long history of safe and reliable use in medicine and surgery such as in sutures to close wounds. The PDO threads are either single threads or multiple threads twisted together and loaded into a fine needle and are carefully inserted into the subcutaneous layer of the skin to create an intensive collagen stimulation process. These dissolvable threads act as a scaffold for your bodies own natural collagen fiber production. The threads slowly dissolve over 2-3 months, leaving behind a mesh network of collagen fibers that are responsible for visible skin tightening and rejuvenation that lasts out to 6-12 months. The more PDO in the thread, the greater the collagen stimulation, so certain threads are better suited to certain areas.

Unlike traditional thread lifts, where there are very few suitable candidates, Rejuvenating PDO threads are suitable for most skin types and concerns, provided there are realistic expectations about the treatment outcomes.  Occasionally, facial volumization with dermal fillers is required prior to or on the same day as the PDO threads in order to obtain optimal results.

Rejuvenating PDO threads can be used anywhere on the Face and Off-Face including: Forehead, Cheeks, Brows, Under eye, Nasolabial folds, Jawline and jowls, Neck. Threads can also be used anywhere on the body requiring skin tightening. Favorite areas include the abdomen, arms and above the knees.

The cost varies on the number of threads required for an optimal result and the indication for treatment. A full quote will be provided on consultation. The below are guides only:

After receiving a topical anesthetic, PDO Threads will be inserted using a micro-needle or cannula. The treatment is a highly customized procedure and your practitioner will work closely with you in order to achieve optimal results. You will begin to see results in 6 weeks which continue to improve over the next 2 to 6 months as new collagen is produced. Although the PDO Threads will slowly dissolve, you will continue to see results for up to 12 months. The results vary depending on lifestyle factors such as smoking, alcohol, exercise, etc. It may be recommended to have another PDO Thread treatment six months after the initial treatment to maintain the tightening effects. The time of your treatment will vary based on many factors—such as the size of your treatment area — but typically takes between 45 and 60 minutes. PDO Thread procedure may produce swelling and bruising in the area that has been treated, which will subside after a few days.
