Can I go about my normal nightly skin care routine?

Is AquaFacial painful?

Why Is A Aqua Facial Good For My Skin?
Hydration is the foundation of healthy, radiant skin. Irritation and dryness of the skin have been proven to increase the signs of aging. This treatment is non-irritating and hydrating.
How Long Does The Treatment Take? Is There Any Downtime Or Pain Involved?
The Aqua Facial treatment takes as little as 45 minutes. The treatment is often described as feeling like “a cool paintbrush moving over my face”. You may return to your normal activities and wear makeup immediately after the treatment as there is no downtime.
What Results May Be Expected? How Many Treatments Are Needed To See Results? How Long Do The Results Last?
Many people report seeing a visible refinement of the skin and an even, radiant skin tone after just one treatment. The smooth results and hydration may last 5 to 7 days or possibly even longer. A series of six treatments is recommended for improving the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, hyper-pigmentation, acne and oily skin. After your first series of treatments, you may want to maintain your results with a Aqua Facial every 2 to 4 weeks.
Why Is The AquaFacial Better Than Microdermabrasion?
The AquaFacial is also known as the “Serum-dermabrasion”. Microdermabrasion used to be considered the most effective method of exfoliation and mild skin rejuvenation. However, microdermabrasion is not recommended for all skin types. People with sensitive or thin skin, Rosacea or ethnic skin are not candidates for microdermabrasion because of potential reactions such as scaring, hyper-pigmentation and irritation. The AquaFacial is a highly effective alternative to microdermabrasion, using the newest form of skin resurfacing technology, that Is non-invasive.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Your aesthetic specialist will assess the condition of your skin and provide you with a customized treatment plan. During your treatment, your skin will be appropriately cleansed and prepared. Using a dermaplaning tool (a special surgical blade), your clinician will physically exfoliate the top layer of the skin, removing dead skin cells and vellus hair. Afterward, your skin will be replenished and hydrated, and protected with an SPF. Dermaplaning is very tolerable and leaves the skin looking fresh and vibrant. It also increases the efficacy of your medical grade skincare products, by boosting their absorption. Treatments typically take 30 minutes.
You are not a candidate for this treatment if you are on Accutane or other skin sensitizing medications. Your aesthetic provider will thoroughly review your health history and contraindications with you prior to treatment.
