Eyelid Surgery
Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) is a surgical procedure to remove excess fat, skin and muscle from the upper and/or lower eyelids. This procedure will not erase dark circles or remove “crow’s feet” or other wrinkles from around the eyes. Nor will it lift sagging eyebrows or reshape eye structure to enhance symmetry. However, blepharoplasty can give you a noticeably healthier, more rested, wider eyed and more youthful appearance, while enhancing your self image. Out of all facial features, the eyes have the most dramatic impact on appearance. Unfortunately, they are often the first to show signs of aging. Heredity, sun and other environmental issues, skin thickness and the limited number of oil glands around the eyes can eventually cause the upper eyelids to droop and puffy bags to form below the eyes. Consequently, you can look tired, sad and years older than you really are or feel.
